The ads feature the likes of Clare Balding, Rachel Riley, George Clarke, Phillip Schofield, Rio Ferdinand and Christine Lampard, all sharing personal stories all about moments that matter during the festive period.
Each ad tells the story of how BT’s products from TV & Sport, to Mobile and Broadband play a role in helping them connect with the people that they care about.
The spots include ITV’s “This Morning” presenter Phillip Schofield sharing how his family get over their ‘FOMO’ (fear of missing out) at Christmas, while George Clarke, from Channel 4’s “Old House, New Home” tells us how he plans to stay in touch from the other side of the world this year. The ads also include BT Sport’s Rio Ferdinand and how his family bond by coming together to watch Christmas TV favourites.
The campaign consists of 20 second TV ads, launching on Saturday December 1 during I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! On ITV. The ads will also feature across social media channels.
Zaid Al-Qassab, Chief Brand and Marketing Officer said: “Our latest campaign shares how BT plays a part in connecting some of the UK’s favourite TV personalities to their loved ones at Christmas – wherever they are in the world. From relying on video calling, like Phillip Schofield, or coming together to watch TV as a family like Rio Ferdinand, millions of our customers are able to enjoy moments like this thanks to our products and services.”
The campaign was developed by The Outfit with BT’s media buying agency, Essence, leading the investment in placement.
