Dog food brand Cesar has introduced its newest star-studded holiday campaign, “Matchy-Matchy,” giving Christmas jumpers a canine twist.

The ad features actor and rapper, Ice-T; dancer, musician and actor Mark Ballas; and NFL player, Devon Still, showing how matchy sweaters can take dogs from man’s best friend to man’s cool side kick.
“Matchy-Matchy,” created by advertising agency AMV BBDO, features a series of short-form videos, engaging social content, support from celebs and social influencers, and a contest giving dog owners a chance to get matchy-matchy with their furry friends.
“Nothing is stronger than the bond between people and their dogs,” said Dan Jackson, Marketing Director at Mars Petcare. “The Cesar brand is celebrating that special, and sometimes quirky, bond and encouraging pet owners to bring their dogs in on the fun this season with matching holiday sweaters.”
The brand is encouraging viewers to use hashtag #MatchyMatchy to show off their sweater-matching spirit, with a competition to win a pair of tacky sweaters for the winner and their dog. The sweepstakes runs November 28 – December 11.
Meanwhile a Matchy-Matchy photo generator, lets users select a holiday scene, upload their photo and digitally “try on” all four festive sweater styles to be downloaded or shared socially, keeping the festive fun going.
The site will also have knitting patterns available for download, giving fans an opportunity to knit their own pair of holiday-spirited sweaters.
