Online marketplace eBay has today rolled out a new website, with a strong visual style similar to Pinterest. The new look site allows users to create their own customised homepage as the firm moves away from its auction roots to focus more on instant purchases.

The new ebay website design will be rolling out over the coming weeks and has been designed by agency Lippincott.
Ebay President Devin Wenig explains: “Search results and recommendations are no longer enough,”-”Consumers want insight. And they want personal, curated selection that is relevant to them, controlled by them.”
As well as rolling out the new ebay website designed, the company has also unveiled a new application called “ebay Now”, which is available to download from the Apple iTunes App Store now.
Ebay also announced that it will be offering a same-day delivery service for thousands of its items however will only work within the San Francisco area at the current time. But ebay says at other areas will soon become available.
