Laerdal Medical provides training, educational and therapy products for life saving and emergency medical care and the website launch marks the first phase of Laerdal Medical’s wider digital transformation plans.
The new website will significantly improve and personalise the user experience through compelling content and storytelling, as well as help streamline Laerdal Medical’s global internal processes and drive greater operational efficiency.
The website launch marks the first phase of Laerdal Medical’s wider digital transformation plans and follows a thorough discovery process. This included in-depth profiling of Laerdal Medical’s diverse customer base to establish a series of core customer personas.
Uniquely, this project also saw Amaze develop a ‘digital principles framework’. These principles underpin all digital work and support Laerdal Medical’s strategic business aim to “help save 500,000 more lives every year by 2020”.
Built on the powerful and flexible Episerver V.9 platform, the new online experience ensures business and product portfolio and services are more closely aligned with the brand across all touchpoints and devices. It will significantly improve and personalise the user experience through compelling content and storytelling, as well as help streamline Laerdal Medical’s global internal processes and drive greater operational efficiency.
The multi-language site encompasses the three regions and 26 countries Laerdal Medical operates in and has been designed to highlight the high standards and levels of care and innovation it applies across its business.
As this is the first step in Laerdal Medical’s digital transformation journey, the site has been specifically configured to support current business needs and also scale and adapt to future requirements. The next phase of the project will see Amaze add a new Episerver-based ecommerce platform.
Pål Oftedal, Director of Marketing Communications at Laerdal Medical comments: “Our website is central to our digital transformation and supports our wider business strategy and ambitions. We needed to ensure it would not only demonstrate our market leading position and the exceptional quality of our products and services, but also be flexible enough to grow and develop as the business does. We’re delighted with the results of this first stage in our digital journey and have been impressed with Amaze’s approach, dedication and expertise. Our guiding digital principles ensure that we are producing a solution that demonstrably supports the company vision, resulting in an online experience that truly reflects our company ethos and motivations. We look forward to embarking on the next phase.”
Emma Nicol, Client Services Director at Amaze adds: “As Laerdal Medical’s global digital partner, we’re thrilled to be supporting its ambitious strategy with the launch of its new global website. We will further leverage our vast experience and global reach to work closely with Laerdal Medical as it continues with its digital plans.”
