Johnston Press has launched ‘Digital Kitbag’, a one-stop marketing tool to help marketers reach their audience via the publisher’s digital portfolio.

The firm, which owns 250 newspapers and 196 local websites, said Digital Kitbag lets business owners select from a portfolio of services – from a basic ‘do-it-yourself’ email marketing tool to a fully managed raft of integrated digital solutions including social media management, search engine marketing (as a Premier SME Partner of Google).
Chris Brake, Digital Kitbag Managing Director, said: “Most SMBs are not taking full advantage of the wide range of online marketing available to them. At Digital Kitbag our goal is simple – to take the time and effort out of online marketing, so that SMBs can get on with what they do best – running their business. Businesses which can tap into the full range of digital marketing can increase revenue and improve customer loyalty.
“The Digital Kitbag team can build you an effective online presence to make sure you are found, seen, and stand out from the crowd. And we can run your search marketing campaign to drive the visits you need to deliver new customers, and real results. We can give you a powerful email marketing platform to stay in touch with your existing customer base – and we can even take on running your social media if you want.”
“We want to encourage our business customers to really benefit from our digital expertise which, combined with technology platforms from our global class leading partners, can ensure they are fully maximising online opportunities.”
Digital Kitbag products will now be trialled in the UK with full roll-out expected by May 2014.
