New UK CEO at Salesforce in European push
Customer relationship marketing platform Salesforce has announced that Zahra Bahrololoumi will join the company as Executive Vice President and CEO, Salesforce UK and Ireland (UKI), in March 2021 to lead operations in both key growth markets.

Zahra will join the company from Accenture where she leads the Accenture Technology practice for the UKI with a particular focus on next-generation systems in artificial intelligence, cloud computing and platforms underpinning new applications.

She also sits on the board of techUK and is a vice chair of the Technology Leadership Group (TLG) for the Prince’s Trust.

Salesforce is investing for growth in the UKI and over the next two years expects to create over 1,000 new jobs. Strong demand from customers in the UKI contributed to a more than 36% increase in Salesforce revenues in the EMEA region, more than $1bn in the second quarter in the latest reporting period.

The company’s growth has been fuelled by businesses accelerating their digital transformation and partnering with Salesforce as their trusted digital advisor. Leading companies, such as Barclays, DPD and Unilever, use Salesforce to connect with their customers in a whole new way.

“We are delighted to have appointed a business leader with the industry breadth and depth that Zahra will bring to the company,” said Gavin Patterson, President and Chief Revenue Officer, Salesforce. “She’s an extraordinary executive with a passion for using technology to transform organizations and improve the state of our world. I look forward to her leading our UKI business through its next stage of growth.”

“I am excited to join a company with such an incredible track record of driving positive change and success for its customers,” said Zahra Bahrololoumi. “Salesforce provides outstanding technology to help businesses digitally transform and there is a unique opportunity for Salesforce to accelerate its growth in the UK and Ireland. Salesforce is also deeply committed to the role that businesses can play in society; I can’t wait to get started and support its game-changing work.”

This appointment follows the strengthening of Salesforce’s management team in Europe with Angelique de Vries becoming Executive Vice President and CEO of Northern Europe, the appointment of Denis Terrien as Executive Vice President and CEO of Southern Europe, and Stefan Hoechbauer joining the company as Executive Vice President and CEO of DACH – covering Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
