Google increase ad grants to $1bn to help small businesses weather pandemic
Google is increasing its annual Ad Grants commitment by $200m to offer a total of $1 billion to better support non-profit organisations (NGOs)

Under the move, Smart Campaigns are now available in all countries with Google Ads; making it easier to sign up and run ads through the app. In-app signup is currently available in the U.S., Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, Denmark, France, Spain, the Netherlands, and Japan, with more countries to follow.

New Promoted Pins feature in maps – free for all Smart Campaign users until end of September

A new Maps-based unit on the Google Shopping tab will appear with specific product results from local stores when the user indicates a local intent (e.g. laptops near me) or when they filter to ‘Nearby’ results.

In addition, retail Categories insights tool has expanded to nine countries including Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Turkey, Germany, Sweden.
