Pinterest boosts shopping partners amid international expansion

Pinterest is expanding and rebranding its third-party partner program to enable more shopping experiences on the platform and create an inclusive global ecosystem.

Launching at Cannes Lions, Pinterest introduced a new shopping category to the existing program with a select group of companies approved to build solutions through our APIs.

The new shopping category partners include:

• Platform partners like WooCommerce who allow businesses to set up e-commerce sites and experiences
• Feed management providers like Feedonomics, ProductsUp, and GoDataFeed who can manage and optimize product inventory feeds for businesses bringing their product catalogs to Pinterest
• Shoppable experience platforms like Shoppable, MikMak, and Jebbit who connect products within a Pin with the retailers that can fulfill orders and make it easier to shop
• Tag management providers including PixelYourSite and Tealium who can track closed-loop measurement of online shopping conversions and sales

Over the past few years, Pinterest has been introducing new shopping features to make Pinterest more shoppable than before, including shoppable Product Pins, Catalogs, personalized shopping recommendations and Shop the Look. Pinterest wants people to be able to shop for any item they see on Pinterest.

When it first introduced the Marketing Developer Partners program in 2015, it was just getting started with ads and, since then, the diversified needs of our advertisers have evolved.

This includes the way advertisers want to work with and access its advertising platform, such as through third parties.

Now, with a more inclusive ecosystem of third-party solution providers across specialties, Pinterest is renaming its Marketing Partners program to simply the Pinterest Partner program. This group of curated solution providers including advertising, content marketing, audiences, measurement, creative and shopping now cover a wider variety of categories and will help businesses of all sizes reach their marketing goals while measuring their campaign objectives.

Pinterest has also added new international partners to our existing advertising specialties. New partners include MakeMeReach in France and AdSamauri in Spain.
