Pinterest has purchased online collaboration service Icebergs. Barcelona-based Icebergs launched in 2013 and allowed users to visually organize and share projects using images, video and other digital content.

The service was popular with designers and other creatives, not least because it also provided a private workspace in addition to its cloud-based tools.
A message on Iceberg’s website announced that Pinterest will be closing the service, and that the company’s founders (César Isern and Albert Pereta) will be joining the Pinterest team in San Francisco.
This marks Pinterest’s fifth acquisition in recent months, following the purchase of VisualGraph, Punchfork, Livestar, and Hackermeter.
