Hotels and bed and breakfasts as a category have the most mobile-optimized websites, with a 63% rating, followed by restaurants at 52%, according to a study by hibu.
The firm also found that 59% of U.S. small and medium-sized businesses do not have sites that are mobile-friendly or allow m-commerce.
The research shows that almost three quarters (74%) of UK SMEs’ websites are not set up to enable customers to research and make purchases on mobile devices. It also found that a huge 88% per cent of SMEs’ websites do not support viewing on the iPad (4th gen).
