Yahoo! revamps homepage with mobile-friendly features

Yahoo! has launched its updated home page across Europe, designed to be consistent across mobile, tablet and desktop computers, featuring a raft of new features.

The new page has gone live in the UK, Ireland, Germany, France, Italy, Spain and South Africa.
Additional features include a new real-time news feed, more customisation options, a clearer interface, and streamlined search.
“We know our users want fresh information fast, in a way that gives them choice and control, yet maintains some elements of what’s familiar to them,” said Yahoo’s Noelia Fernandez Arroyo.
“That’s exactly what we are sharing today with the new Yahoo experience which is personal, intuitive and optimised for easy, everyday consumption of our daily habits – whether we are browsing the top stories, checking our email, posting pictures, checking the weather or even finding out what the stars have in store for us. It’s all within easy reach on one page.”
As Noelia Fernandez Arroyo, Yahoo VP Media EMEA, explains in her blog post “We know our users want fresh information fast, in a way that gives them choice and control, yet maintains some elements of what’s familiar to them.
