New search filter options include:
– Past hour
– Specific date range
– More shopping sites
– Fewer shopping sites
– Visited pages
– Not-yet-visited pages
– Books
– Blogs
– News
Users can try the features by running a Google search and clicking “Show options” below the logo.
The Past-Hour option suggests Google is taking a leaf out of Twitter’s book and using ongoing conversations on the web to identify popular topics as they arise.
Meanwhile, the More/Fewer Shopping Sites will give Goolgle greater appeal amongst advertisers looking to reach purchase minded searchers.
