Spotify has reduced its premium six-month subscription rate for UK users from £9.99 a month to £6.49, following a sponsorship deal with online car insurance company Swifcover. The special deal runs until Monday 2 November. The offer was made available to Spotify users who opted in to receive news of special promotions when they signed up to the service. Spotify subscribers can listen to songs on their mobiles and free of adverts. Customers can cancel at any time within the six months to return to the ad-funded option.
