The first game, called Grand Theft Auto: iFruit, lets players customise their in-game cars and care for the dog ‘Chop’ owned by of one the lead characters.
From the app players can choose paint jobs, window tints, smoke colours, wheels, hoods and spoilers.
Players can also upgrade their engine, brakes, exhaust, suspension, and accessorise with new lights, horns, tires and body armour.
“Everybody’s had some work done in Los Santos, so don’t let your ride be the exception to the rule,” reads the description.
Once players have ordered their customisation, the next time they turn on the game their custom special is there waiting to be picked up, since the game and app are both connected to the Rockstar Social Club.
The other game, Grand Theft Auto V: The Manual is a digitised version of the PS3 and Xbox 360 game’s 100-page manual, complete with an interactive version of the game map.
Both are iOS only for now, but versions for Android, Windows Phone and Playstation Vita reportedly being made.
